Welcome, Christie!

We are so excited to welcome a new NWI Center for Maternal Wellness volunteer, Christie Gibertini!

Christie Gibertini is a mom of two boys and firefighter wife, living in LaPorte, Indiana. During her pregnancies, Christie relocated and struggled to find a community with other new moms. She felt disconnected with her changing body and suffered with Prenatal Depression, along with several other challenges with postpartum recovery. It was a struggle to feel like herself again in body and mind after such a big shift in becoming a mom, often feeling scared, frustrated and isolated.

Since becoming a mom, Christie has dived deeper into learning how to better support new moms. She became dedicated to creating a space and community for moms facing similar challenges to come together and connect back in with themselves and their inner and outer strength. She did this through focusing on yoga, movement, and mindfulness.

Christie is a Prenatal Yoga teacher, Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, and 4th Trimester Fitness®️ Method instructor. She has also attended Postpartum Support International’s 2-day Perinatal Mental Health Disorder

Components of Care training, through a scholarship provided by the NWI Center for Maternal Wellness.

Christie loves sharing different ways that a physical practice with movement and breathwork can bring calm and clarity to the mind, emotions, and heart, helping moms to find more ease off the mat and in daily life. She also loves leading Baby & Tot classes as a nourishing bonding experience for parent and child.

Christie's mission is to share her passion for movement and mindfulness to help other moms and families feel supported, empowered, safe and capable in mind, body, heart and soul. She is excited to help connect more moms to this much needed community and hopes that volunteering at the Center will help her to provide support to many more NWI moms!

Welcome to the Center, Christie! We are so grateful to have you on our team!
