2nd Annual NWI Climb Out of the Darkness

The 2018 Northwest Indiana Climb Out of the Darkness took place on June 23rd at Wicker Park in Highland. We had a wonderful turnout of moms, dads, kids, grandparents and friends, all walking together to raise awareness of Postpartum Depression. Climb Out of the Darkness, an event sponsored by Postpartum Support International, is held every year on or near the summer solstice, symbolizing a mother’s climb out of the darkness of Postpartum Depression. This year, the participants of the 2nd Annual NWI Climb Out of the Darkness raised over $1100 and 75% of these funds will go towards peer support programs for local moms with Postpartum Depression and other Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.
